Amy is 8!

Amy is 8, and we went out to Mirdiff to look around...it looks like a good place to live.

We went to Dreamland Aqua Park

Amy is 8 tomorrow so we went to Dreamland Aqua Park today...Amy and Nina had a great time. The wave pool seemed to be the favorite. It was very busy...probably the day after Ramadan finishes is always going to be busy. On the way back we visited a nearby hotel and replenished ourselves with some much needed refreshments...the ones that are not available in Sharjah.

In the apartment

Here is the living room from the window - at the far end is the entrance hall and the door. It's big with a high ceiling. The plants are part of the family, too!

Beach club

We visited a beach club...it was a really nice place with two pools, access into the sea and various sports facilities. We may join this club, but will check out a few others first.

Friday near where we live

Friday is the holy day between 12 and 1 a lot of people attend prayers...so lots of cars are parked on the road!

Our stay in the UK

We went to Alnwick Gardens - is has certainly grown! Eleanor wolked well.

Nina's 5th birthday party!

Amy ran in a class race, took part in a group race with a big ball and ran in the rely.

Kumon Mountain

Amy and Nina have done a lot of Kumon study - see the mountains of papers!

Fukuchi Mountain

At 900m this mountain is one of the highest in the area.

In the sea!

On a beautiful afternoon we went to the beach and found the tide was out (lots of space) and the waves were just right from inflatable surfing.

First time in the sea

With temperatures in the mid-20s, we wanted to go to the beach.

Amy, Nina and their friends decorated eggs and played games in the garden.
